Hi! My name is
Reed Rackley, I am a member of the Mountain States Fox
Trotter Association and this is my second year as an
ambassador for Colorado. I live in Franktown, Colorado with
my family and our three Fox Trotter's.

In
June my horse Pirate and I traveled to Ava with my
mom Jackie and my Grandmother
Katie Ferris for the Spring Show and Youth Seminar. This was
my second trip to Ava for the seminar.
I
met so many wonderful people that volunteered their time to
give clinic's for all the kids. Lisa Petty did a great job
teaching the driving clinic, the best part was actually
driving Pixie! It inspired me so much that as soon as I got
home I started to ground drive Pirate!
My
most favorite part of the week was the versatility clinic
given by Dr. Roger Cole, Sally and Duane Scott and Elmer
Scott. They helped me understand exactly what to do with
Pirate in each class.
We even had a friendly competition in the afternoon with
cash prizes!!!
I
owe Lisa Petty a special Thanks for sponsoring me and Pirate
so we could compete in some of the Versatility classes
during the Spring Show! I felt so confident on what I
learned from Dr. Cole and the Scott's that I entered some
Versatility classes at our local show the weekend that we
got home!
I
also was fortunate enough to carry the youth flag for the
opening ceremony of the Spring Show...I loved hearing our
name on the loud speaker, that was cool! I was an official
ribbon presenter as well!
It
was so nice to see some friends that I met at last years
Youth Seminar and meet new friends. We had a blast during
our fun show with all the great classes. I am already
planning on coming to next years Youth Seminar!
Thank you again to everyone who worked so hard to make the
Youth Seminar soooo much fun!
See
you next year!
