In memory of Lex Ruhnke, the Mountain States Fox Trotter Association honors a member or members who have performed significant volunteer service for the organization.   These members make a difference in the organization in bringing about synergy among the members when it comes to various equine activities.

Lex Ruhnke was a founding member of the Colorado Fox Trotting Horse Association.  For those that met Lex through the Fox Trotter, she is remembered as one of the first met, always a smile and always willing to volunteer for the next event. Lex Ruhnke died as a result of a ranch accident in 2005. 

Judy & Susie are recognized for their many hours of hard work on the 2004 and 2005 Annual Fox Trotter Show. They brought innovative ideas to the table, making the show a success!
